Spatial Intelligence for Cities and Society

The UrbanXAI Lab advances spatial data science, GeoAI, and optimization to understand cities and improve the systems and services that connect people and places. We integrate diverse geospatial data with new methods for urban sensing, multimodal spatial reasoning, network analysis, and spatial optimization. Our research supports urban planning and decision-making, mobility and transportation, logistics, and location-based services. Through interdisciplinary research, partnerships with industry and government, and hands-on student training, we translate methodological innovations into useful tools, operational systems, and societal impact.
